Under 7's & Under 9 Multiskills Festival

On Friday 18th March 2022, we took 12 pupils from Year 2 and 12 pupils from Year 3 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 7’s & Under 9's Multiskills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events. Some of these activities included javelin throw, space hopper slalom, hurdles and bean bag throw. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning. Well done to our Year 3 team who managed to finish 2nd overall, and congratulations to our Year 2 team to managed to win the event!


Under 9's Dodgeball Festival

On Thursday 17th January 2022, our Year 4 dodgeball team took part in the Under 9’s Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. There were a total of 6 schools at this event. The other 5 schools were: St. Joseph’s College 1, St. Joseph’s College 2, St. Joseph’s College 3, Bucklesham and Woodbridge. Throughout the day, the children thoroughly enjoyed every match they played in, managing to win 5 matches, draw 1 and lose the remaining 2. Each participant was awarded a certificate for their success. Well done Year 4!


Under 11's Dodgeball Festival

On Tuesday 15th March 2022, our Year 6 dodgeball team took part in the Under 11’s Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. There were a total of 9 schools at this event. The 8 other schools were: Gorseland, Henley, Colneis, St. Matthew's, St. Mary's Ipswich, Cedarwood, Bentley and Copdock. Throughout the morning, the children thoroughly enjoyed every match they played in, managing to win 3 matches, draw 1 and lose the other 4. Each participant was awarded a certificate for their success. Well done Year 6!


Under 11's EFL Cup

On Wednesday 12th January 2022, our Year 6 football team took part in the EFL Cup at Ipswich Town Football Club. Before the competition took place, the team were given the opportunity to go on a tour of ITFC, including visiting the main pitch. We were placed into Group B where we played matches against Long Melford, Sidegate, Britannia and Cedarwood. After some excellent performances on the pitch from all the players, Hadleigh finished the competition with 4 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. This meant the team finished 2nd overall in their group. Due to this achievement, the team have been invited back on Wednesday 19th January to take part in Finals Day. The winner of this competition will then progress to the County Finals. Well done Year 6!


Year 5 Trampolining Session

On Friday 3rd December 2021, we took 10 Year 5 pupils to participate in a trampolining session at Hadleigh High School. The pupils got the opportunity to learn new skills, moves and routines which they all absolutely loved! Thankyou to Mrs Clarke from the high school for allowing the children this opportunity, and thankyou to Mrs Kirk for organising. Well done Year 5!


Under 11's Football Festival

On Thursday 21st October 2021, Hadleigh CPS competed in the Under 11’s Football Festival at Whitton Sports Centre. There were a total of 11 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh were put into League 1 where we played matches against The Willows, The Oaks, Chelmondiston, East Bergholt, St. Pancras and Stratford St. Mary's. The boys played excellently all afternoon in attack and defence and as a result of this, only managing to concede 2 goals. In total, they managed to win 5 out of their 6 matches which was an amazing achievement. Well done Year 5 boys!


Under 11's Girls Football Festival

On Thursday 7th October 2021, Hadleigh CPS entered a team in the Under 11’s Girls Football Festival at Whitton Sports Centre. There were a total of 12 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh were put into League 3 where we played matches against Claydon, The Oaks, The Heath and St. Joseph's College. The girls put on a great display and a brilliant team performance throughout the afternoon, managing to win 2 matches and lose 2 matches which was a great effort. Well done Year 5 & 6 girls!


Under 9's & Under 11's Cross Country

On Friday 1st October 2021, we took part in the Under 9's and Under 11's Cross Country festival at Hadleigh High School. There were 4 other schools participating in the competition. The other schools were Whatfield, Bildeston, Elmsett and Hintlesham. During the morning, all of our pupils had to run 1600m which was just short of a mile. There were 4 races in total. An Under 11's Boys race, an Under 11's Girls race, an Under 9's Boys race and finally an Under 9's Girls race. Every pupil ran fantastically, resulting in all our runners finishing in the Top 20 of their respected races! We await the results from the High School to see where HCPS has finished overall. Well done Year 3 and 5!


Inspirational Award 2021

Congratulations to Leah for being awarded our Inspirational Award for the 2020/21 academic year! Since being a pupil at HCPS, she has continuously shown improvement throughout her school journey, while demonstrating an excellent attitude and fantastic leadership skills!


Skip Into Spring 2021

PE TED's Half Term Trail

Thank you to all those children that have sent in their location sheets and pictures to PE Ted's email address. The response has been enormous and overwhelmingly positive! It has kept PE Ted very busy over the half term. Please keep sending in your results and pictures to PE Ted over the course of this week.


Bluey visits PE Ted

PE Ted has been busy staying active, however, this time he has had a helping hand from a well-known friend!! Big thanks to Bluey and everyone at the Ipswich Town Community Trust for helping the children at Hadleigh Community Primary School keep active during these challenging times. #BackingTheBlues!

HCPS Receives School Games Virtual Award
