It feels like only yesterday that I was writing my first newsletter to you all, and now we are rapidly approaching our Christmas break! My first term at HCPS as flown by and I’ve been reflecting on some of the key moments from this term...

Dear friends and families of HCPS.
This first half term seems to have flown by but we still have a busy week and a half left to go with our open classroom planned, HSA disco, parents evening and the H factor all to pack in before next Thursday!. All the staff are now looking forward to welcoming you to our first Open Classroom session on Thursday 16th October 2025; this is a chance to come and visit your child’s classroom say hello to their teacher and celebrate the hard work the children have put into their learning. Classrooms will be open from 3:25pm-4:20pm.

Dear friends and families of HCPS.
Thank you all for such a warm and heartfelt welcome to the school community. It’s been a real pleasure getting to know so many of you and it’s been a joy spending time with the children in their classrooms across the school. A particular stand out moment was being able to see a music session for some of our nursery children; their focus and engagement was just a pleasure to see! It’s absolutely wonderful to be able to speak to the children during their break and lunchtimes to hear about their learning; they’ve been so eager to share their activities which already include a Year 2 trip to Clacton, a Viking Man visit for year 5, H Factor Auditions and a dodgeball win for Mr Peters and the team too!
