Year 6 Rounders Tournament 2025

All Year 6 pupils took part in a competitive inter-year group rounders tournament each afternoon during SATS week. They were put into 6 teams, playing against each other once, with 2 innings. 289.5 rounders were scored by all the teams during the week! Much fun and laughter was had by all.
The overall winners were the ‘Green Goats’ wearing green bibs. Runners up were ‘Yellow Lemons’ wearing yellow bibs and third place were ‘Red Rubber Ducks’ in red bibs.
Well done to all Year 6 for such a fantastic tournament!
Under 7's Multiskills Festival

On Friday 16th May 2025, we took 22 pupils from Year 2 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 7’s Multiskills Festival at Hadleigh High School, with all of the local pyramid schools. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events.
Some of these activities included javelin throw, egg and spoon races, mini hurdles, hoop challenge, skittles, over & under, tennis ball tilt and football dribble. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning. Well done to all our Year 2 team, and Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 9's Dodgeball Finals

Congratulations to our Under 9’s Mixed Dodgeball team, who were the silver medallists out of the 12 competing schools in the County dodgeball finals, at Ipswich School Sports Centre on Friday 2nd May 2025.
We managed to win our group games against South Lee and Elmswell, sending us through into the knockout group against Dale Hall and Sidegate. From winning these games, we secured a place in the final against St. Johns, narrowly missing out on countback.
From this we were placed second overall! Much fun was had by all.

Under 9's Mini Tennis

On Friday 2nd May 2025, we entered 2 teams into the Under 9’s Tennis Festival at Hadleigh High School. There were 6 teams in total that took part. The other 3 schools competing were: Bildeston (2 teams), Whatfield, and St.Mary’s. Lots of matches were played during the morning. Each game lasted approximately 4 minutes. After some excellent on-court performances from all the players, our 2 teams managed to finish 1st and 4th overall. Well done Year 4, an excellent achievement!
Under 9's, 10's & 11's Cross Country
On Thursday 2nd April 2025, we took 48 boys & girls to compete in the Year 4, 5 & 6 Cross Country festival at Royal Hospital School.
There were around 150 pupils that took part in each of the 6 races. During the afternoon, all of our Year 4, 5 & 6 pupils had to run 2200m which was just over a mile long!
During the afternoon, we managed 2 First place, 1 Second place and 1 Third place, whom all received medals and hats!
Every pupil ran fantastically, with some outstanding results, something they should be proud of – Well done Years 4, 5 & 6, what an achievement!

Under 11's Gym Competition
On Wednesday 26th March 2025, HCPS took 7 teams which included 28 pupils from Years 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 to the Hadleigh Stars Gymnastics Competition.
The pupils took part in vault and floor routines, with some of the teams achieving top placings in their age group amongst the 32 teams in competition:
Year 2: 2nd place
Year 4: 1st & 3rd place
Year 5 & 6: 1st & 2nd place
We are very proud of their performances and hard work training for these events!

Under 11's Dodgeball Festival

On Tuesday 11th March 2025, we entered two teams into the Under 11’s Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. There were a total of 10 teams that had entered this event. Every school played each other in a league, with our Year 5 team winning 7 of their 9 games, and our Year 6 team managing to win all 9 of their games against Dale Hall, Henley, Gorseland, Tattingstone, Heath, St. Marks, Britannia, Sidegate and each other!
As a result, Hadleigh Year 6 were overall winners, and Hadleigh Year 5's were runners up!
All children received certificates for their hard work, much dodging, throwing, aiming and fun was had by all, well done!
Trampolining

On Friday 7th March 2025, we took 10 Year 5 pupils to Hadleigh High School, who took part in a range of trampoline activities by Sarah Clarke (Head of High School PE).
The children thoroughly enjoyed using a full-size trampoline to demonstrate their skills. During the session the pupils were focusing on shapes, swivel-hips and different jumping styles. Much fun was had by all during the visit!
Under 11's Mixed Basketball

On Tuesday 11th February 2025, Hadleigh CPS competed in the Under 11’s Mixed Basketball Festival at Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich. There were a total of 10 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh played matches against Bramford, Claydon, Morland & St. Mary's Ipswich.
The boys and girls were excellent all morning resulting in 3 wins, this resulted in us finishing 2nd in our group, just missing out on the final. The standard of basketball was extremely high. All pupils had a fantastic morning, well done!
Under 11's Basketball Festival

On Tuesday 28th January 2025, HCPS competed in the Under 11’s Mixed Basketball Festival at Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich. There were a total of 10 schools that took part in the event.
Hadleigh played matches against Bucklesham, Rendlesham, Bealings and Hillside. The boys and girls were excellent all afternoon resulting in them winning 3 of the 4 games.
The standard of basketball was extremely high. All our pupils improved and developed immensely and had a fantastic time, well done!
Under 11's Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games Sportshall athletics

On Wednesday 20th January 2025, we entered a Year 6 boys & girls indoor Sportshall athletics team into the Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games Sportshall athletics at Suffolk One. 24 other Schools took part in this event, and HCPS managed to finish with an incredible 4th place!
During the afternoon, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.

Under 9's Multiskills Festival

On Friday 17th January, we took 20 pupils from Year 4 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 9’s Multiskills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning.
Well done to 2 of our pupils, who were in the winning team. The teams were mixed between all the local Pyramid Schools, and everyone received participation certificates. Thanks to Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 11's Christmas Cracker
HCPS took a group of KS2 children to the Christmas Cracker Festival on Thursday 5th December at Inspire Suffolk Ipswich. Along with 12 other schools, the children took part in circus skills, archery, boccia, cricket and the daily mile.
All pupils put together a dance routine and performed it to all the parents. Much fun was had by all, including wearing their Christmas jumpers and putting everyone into the Christmas spirit.





Under 9's Dodgeball Festival

On Tuesday 26th November 2024, we entered 2 teams into the Under 9’s Ipswich area Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. There were a total of 14 schools that entered this event. Both HCPS teams played 6 league fixtures each during the afternoon.
From the groups, one team managed to reach final, just missing out to the eventual winners Sidegate Primary, and our other team finished 5th overall from the 14 competing schools.
As a result of this HCPS have progressed through to the County Dodgeball finals in Ipswich during 2025!
This was a fantastic achievement from the boys and girls, much dodging, throwing, aiming and fun was had by all, well done!
Under 11's & Under 9's Tag Rugby Festival

On Friday the 8th November 2024, HCPS took 20 children to participate in the Hadleigh High School Year 4 & 6 Tag Rugby festival at Hadleigh High School. Teams from Bildeston, St Mary’s, Beaumont, Whatfield, Elmsett and Hintlesham also took part. An excellent morning was had by all our pupils. Lots of tagging, running, dodging and scoring trys was on show by all.
