Under 9's Dodgeball Festival
On Thursday 23rd February 2023, we entered a team into the Under 9’s Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. There were a total of 12 teams that had entered this event. Hadleigh managed to win all their group games, against Gusford, Morland, Woodbridge, Clifford Road and St Mary's Woodbridge.
This took HCPS through to the final against Colneis, Felixstowe. We won the game 2-0! As a result of this they have progressed through to the County Dodgeball finals in Bury St. Edmunds during April.
Much dodging, throwing, aiming and fun was had by all, well done!
Under 7's Multiskills Festival
On Friday 3rd February 2023, we took over 26 pupils from Year 2 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 7’s Multiskills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events. Some of these activities included javelin throw, space hopper slalom, hurdles and bean bag throw. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning. Well done to all our Year 2 team, and Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 11's Suffolk County Sportshall Athletics Finals
After winning the Ipswich and South Suffolk Sportshall Athletics in November 2022, Hadleigh CPS went through to the county finals at Newmarket Leisure Centre on Friday 3rd February 2023. The top 8 schools from the County competed in this event.
During the morning, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.
After all the enjoyable events had finished, the results were announced. HCPS were third in the County, receiving bronze medals! Congratulations to all the children involved, on what was an amazing journey. Well done!
Under 11's Basketball Festival
On Tuesday 31st January 2023, Hadleigh CPS competed in the Under 11’s Mixed Basketball Festival at Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich. There were a total of 10 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh played matches against Bildeston, Gusford, Ranelagh and Copdock. The boys and girls were excellent all morning resulting in 4 wins. They scored over 100 points in baskets! The standard of basketball was extremely high. All pupils had a fantastic morning, well done!
Under 11's Mixed Sportshall Athletics
On Friday 20th January 2023, we entered a Year 5 boys & girls indoor Sportshall athletics teams into the Hadleigh High School Pyramid event.
During the morning, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.
After all the enjoyable events had finished, the results were announced. HCPS were the overall winners! Congratulations to all the children involved.
Under 9's Boys Futsal Festival
On Tuesday 17th January 2023, we took a Year 4 Boys Futsal team to Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich. They took part in 5 games against Sidegate, St. Helens, St Marks,
Dale Hall and St Pancras, winning 4 and losing 1 game.
HCPS scored 12 goals and conceded only 2. Lots of wonderful footballing skills were demonstrated all afternoon by the boys. Much fun was had by all, well done Year 4!
Under 11's Boys County Football Finals
On Thursday 12th January 2023, our boys took part in the Under 11's County Football Finals at Needham Market Football Club. This was the result of the team winning the Ipswich Schools finals during November.
8 Schools competed in the finals. In the group stage, we drew 0-0 with Wells Hall, lost 3-1 to Serbert Wood, and beat Woods Loke 1-0, just missing out on the semi-finals through goal difference. HCPS won their play-off game 1-0 against Heath Primary, resulting in them finishing 5th overall in the County.
Much fun was had during this amazing journey, well done all!
Santa's Fitness Session
On Friday 16th December 2022, all the pupils at HCPS participated in Santa's Fitness Challenge. The session included many different fitness and dance routines as a whole school.
The Home School Association then provided all the children and staff with much-earned cold drinks and biscuits.
Under 9's Girls Football Festival
On Wednesday 16th November 2022, HCPS entered two Year 4 teams in the Under 9’s Girls Football Festival at ITFC. There were over 20 teams that took part in the event.
Our teams played 8 games each, against St Marks, Ranleigh, Kyson, Whitehouse, Halifax, Capel St Mary, Stratford St Mary, Tattingstone, East Bergholt and Colneis. Both teams played brilliantly throughout the afternoon and had a great time! This was a fantastic effort from both teams!

Under 11's & Under 9's Tag Rugby Festival
On Friday the 11th November 2022, HCPS took 40 children to participate in the Hadleigh High School Year 4 & 6 Tag Rugby festival at Hadleigh Rugby club. Teams from Bildeston, St Mary's, Elmsett, Beaumont and Hintlesham also took part. An excellent morning was had by all our pupils. Lots of tagging, running, dodging and scoring trys was on show by all.

Under 11's Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games Sportshall athletics
On Thursday 10th November 2022, we entered a Year 6 boys & girls indoor sportshall athletics team into the Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games Sportshall athletics at Westbourne High School. 8 other Schools took part in this event.
During the afternoon, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.
After all the enjoyable events had finished, the results were announced. HCPS were the overall winners! Congratulations to all the children involved, they will now go through to the County Finals in Newmarket early next year.
