Hadleigh Community Primary School is able to offer a Lunch Club for its Nursery pupils. The club operates between 11.30am and 12.30pm which means that it is accessed by children who stay with us for the whole day, or it can be added to the end of the morning session.

The club is led by staff who are appropriately qualified, who supervise the children in their own eating area and when they have eaten lunch they are able to access a variety of play equipment. We envisage the children enjoying the experience of eating their lunch with friends, as well as playing with them.

The Lunch Club will cost £4.75 per day which includes the cost of a healthy, nutritious school meal. If you wish your child to bring a packed lunch, the cost will be £3.75.

Did You Know? – When your child moves into fulltime schooling, they will be entitled to a free school meal every day for their first 3 years of schooling, under the Governments ‘Universal Infant Free School Meal’ initiative.

If you are not already aware, Hadleigh Community Primary School has run its own highly successful catering service for around 10 years.  We have a high take up and are able to offer a varied menu, ensuring that all food served is healthy and nutritious and meeting Government guidelines. An example of a week’s menu can be found attached below.

At HCPS we encourage parents to provide a healthy packed lunch which supports children to develop good eating habits from an early age. Healthy options which include fruit and vegetables and food with less sugar and salt content should be promoted.  In line with the school’s policy, please avoid including sweets or sugary drinks in lunch boxes.  Water is provided for all and milk available for those taking a school meal. Please note we are a nut free school.

We have limited capacity so there is a maximum of 24 places available.  You can choose how frequently your child attends however, all places are available subject to availability.  In the event that the club is oversubscribed, priority will be given to children requesting a higher number of sessions.  It is important that you feel sure your child is ready for the longer session/s before an application is made for a place.

We request that payment is made weekly in advance and it is also possible to pay for a half term/full term.  Our preferred method of payment is online via School Gateway – please ask the office team for assistance if you have not used this before.

If you wish to book a place, then please complete a registration form (attached below).
