On Friday 4th October 2024, we took part in the Under 9’s and Under 11’s Boys & Girls Cross Country festival at Hadleigh High School. There were 7 other schools participating in this competition. The other schools were Whatfield, Bildeston, St. Marys, Beaumont, Elmsett, Kersey and Hintlesham. During the morning, all of our pupils had to run 1600m which was just short of a mile. There were 4 races in total. An Under 11’s Boys race, an Under 11’s Girls race, an Under 9’s Boys race and finally an Under 9’s Girls race. Every pupil ran fantastically. After the scores were totalled up HCPS won the Under 9’s Boys and Girls and the Under 11’s Boys and Girls categories.
Well done to the all the runners who raced, this is a fantastic accomplishment!
Many pupil in the school take part in our running clubs during the winter months at school lunchtimes.
