Mixed Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 Cross Country

Congratulations to approximately 200 pupils from the Hadleigh Pyramid schools, taking part in a cross country event yesterday at Layham Road.
The pupils from Years 3 to 6 showed incredible effort, attitude and commitment to complete the course in difficult conditions!
HCPS is extremely proud of everyone taking part, with some outstanding individual performances. Many HCPS pupils finished in the top 10 of their group, and brought back a collection of gold, silver & bronze medals!
Under 11's Mixed Basketball

On Tuesday 10th February 2026, HCPS competed in the Under 11’s Mixed Basketball Festival at Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich. There were a total of 10 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh won their group, with matches against Sproughton, Kyson (Woodbridge), Henley & Grange (Felixstowe).
The boys and girls progressed to the Semi-Final, beating St. Mary's (Ipswich), moving on to the Final playing Sidegate (Ipswich). In a fast and furious match, Hadleigh were crowned the overall winners, winning 16-6!
The standard of basketball was extremely high at the event. All pupils had a fantastic morning, well done!
Under 11's Suffolk County Sportshall Athletics Finals

After progressing from the Ipswich and South Suffolk Sportshall Athletics in January 2026, HCPS went through to the county finals at Suffolk One in Ipswich on Friday 6th February 2026. The top 12 schools, from over 80 schools that entered, made it through to the County finals.
During the morning, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.
After all the enjoyable events had finished, the results were announced. HCPS were third in the County, receiving bronze medals! Congratulations to all the children involved, on what was an amazing journey. Well done!
Under 11's Mixed Basketball Festival

On Tuesday 3rd February 2026, HCPS participated in the Under 11’s Mixed Basketball Festival at Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich. There were a total of 15 schools that took part in the event.
Hadleigh played matches against St. Mark's (Ipswich) , Pipers Vale (Ipswich), Colneis (Felixstowe) and Claydon. The boys and girls were excellent all afternoon resulting in them winning 3 of the 4 games.
The standard of basketball was extremely high. All our pupils improved and developed immensely and had a fantastic time, well done!
Under 11's Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games Sportshall athletics

On Thursday 15th January 2026, we entered a Year 6 boys & girls indoor Sportshall athletics team into the Ipswich and South Suffolk School Games at Suffolk One.
24 other Schools took part in this event, with HCPS finishing an incredible 3rd overall, qualifying them to take part in the County finals during February!
During the afternoon, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.

Under 11's Christmas Cracker
HCPS took a group of KS2 children to the Christmas Cracker Festival on Thursday 11th December at Inspire Suffolk Ipswich. Along with 12 other schools, the children took part in circus skills, archery, boccia, cricket, padel tennis and daily mile.
All pupils put together a dance routine and performed it to all the parents. Much fun was had by all, including wearing their Christmas jumpers and putting everyone into the Christmas spirit!





Under 11's Premier League Primary Stars Cup

On Monday 8th December 2025, our Year 5 & 6 mixed football team took part in the Premier League Primary Stars Cup at Ipswich Town Football Club. We were placed in a league format, where we played matches against Claydon, Rose Hill, Oaks, Sidegate, St. Matthews, The Willows and Dale Hall.
After some excellent performances on the pitch from all the players, Hadleigh managed to win 4 games and draw 3 games! This meant the team finished joint 1st, missing out on goal difference to become runners up.
A fantastic achievement on a chilly morning, and thank you to ITFC for a wonderful event!
Under 11's Boys County Football Finals

On Thursday 27th November 2025, our boys took part in the Under 11’s County Football Finals at Needham Market Football Club. This was the result of the team winning the Ipswich Schools finals during November.
8 Schools competed in the finals. In the group stage, drew against St. Mary's Catholic (Ipswich) 1-1, drew against St. Edmund's (Bury St. Edmund's) 1-1, and won our final group game 2-0 against Wood Ley (Stowmarket), putting us into the semi-final, where we won 1-0 against Sidegate (Ipswich).
In the final against Woods Loke (Lowestoft), we won 1-0, resulting in us becoming County Champions!
Much fun was had during this amazing journey, well done all!
The boys have now progressed into the Regional Finals, to be held in 2026!
Under 11's Girls County Football Finals

On Thursday 27th November 2025, our girls took part in the Under 11’s County Football Finals at Needham Market Football Club. This was the result of the team progressing from the Ipswich Schools finals during October.
8 Schools competed in the finals. In the group stage, we drew 1-1 with Moulton (Newmarket), lost 3-0 to Sidegate (Ipswich) and beat Elmswell (Bury St. Edmunds) 1-0. HCPS just missed out on the Semi-Finals after a penalty shootout, putting us into a play-off game against St. Boltoph's (Diss), which resulted in us winning 1-0 and finishing 5th in the County.
Much fun was had during this amazing journey, well done all!
Under 9's Dodgeball Festival

On Tuesday 25th November 2025, we entered a team into the Under 9’s Ipswich area Dodgeball Festival at Rushmere Sports Centre. There were a total of 19 schools that entered this event. HCPS played 8 games during the morning, winning 7 and drawing 1!
This was a fantastic achievement from the boys and girls, much dodging, throwing, aiming and fun was had by all, well done!
Under 10's Dodgeball

On Friday 21st November, HCPS took all of Year 5 to take part in an inter-year group coloured house Dodgeball competition at Hadleigh High School.
The Red Rabbits, Blue Bats, Yellow Yetis & Green Griffins took part in a round robin event, playing 3 matches against each house!
Much fun aiming, throwing, dodging and working as a team took place during the morning.
Congratulations to the Green Griffins, who were the overall winners of the event, a fantastic achievement!
Thank you to Hadleigh High School for hosting this event and all the sports prefects for refereeing and helping run the event.
Under 11's Boys Football

On Thursday 20th November 2025, HCPS took two teams to compete in the Under 11’s Football Festival at Whitton Sports Centre. There were a total of 18 schools from across the Ipswich area that took part in the event. Hadleigh played group matches against St. John's, St. Matthew's, Gusford, Stratford St. Mary, Cedarwood, Springfield, Grundisburgh, Brokehall and Halifax. Both teams played some excellent football during the morning, with excellent attacking and defending skills.
Both teams played well in their respective group, with one team coming 3rd in their group.
The other HCPS team managed to win their group, resulting in them taking part in the semi-final against Colneis from Felixstowe! After drawing the game, this was then decided by a penalty shootout. Fortunately, luck was on our side, resulting in the boys going through to the final and winning 1-0 against Cedarwood! They have now progressed through to the County finals at Needham Market Football Club!
Well done for proudly representing HCPS, and for showing an outstanding attitude and resilience, particularly in the penalty shootout.
Under 11's Tag Rugby Festival

On Friday the 7th November 2025, HCPS took 24 children to participate in the Hadleigh High School Year 6 Tag Rugby festival at Hadleigh High School. Teams from Bildeston, St Mary’s, Beaumont, Whatfield and Hintlesham also took part. An excellent morning was had by all our pupils. Lots of tagging, running, dodging and scoring trys was on show by all.

Under 11's Multi-Skills Festival

On Friday 17th October, we took 20 pupils from Year 5 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 11’s Multi-Skills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning.
Well done to 2 of our pupils, who were in the winning team. The teams were mixed between all the local Pyramid Schools, and everyone received participation certificates. Thanks to Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 11's Girls Football

On Tuesday 14th October 2025, Hadleigh CPS entered a team in the Under 11’s Girls Football Festival at Whitton Sports Centre. There were a total of 9 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh played matches against Henley, Dale Hall, Heath, Sidegate, Britannia, Rushmere Hall, Bramford and The Oaks.
The girls put on a great display and a brilliant team performance throughout the afternoon, managing to win 5 matches, draw 2 and lose 1 match which was a great achievement, finishing 2nd overall. Well done Year 5 & 6 girls!
