Under 10's Dodgeball

On Friday 21st November, HCPS took all of Year 5 to take part in an inter-year group coloured house Dodgeball competition at Hadleigh High School.
The Red Rabbits, Blue Bats, Yellow Yetis & Green Griffins took part in a round robin event, playing 3 matches against each house!
Much fun aiming, throwing, dodging and working as a team took place during the morning.
Congratulations to the Green Griffins, who were the overall winners of the event, a fantastic achievement!
Thank you to Hadleigh High School for hosting this event and all the sports prefects for refereeing and helping run the event.
Under 11's Boys Football

On Thursday 20th November 2025, HCPS took two teams to compete in the Under 11’s Football Festival at Whitton Sports Centre. There were a total of 18 schools from across the Ipswich area that took part in the event. Hadleigh played group matches against St. John's, St. Matthew's, Gusford, Stratford St. Mary, Cedarwood, Springfield, Grundisburgh, Brokehall and Halifax. Both teams played some excellent football during the morning, with excellent attacking and defending skills.
Both teams played well in their respective group, with one team coming 3rd in their group.
The other HCPS team managed to win their group, resulting in them taking part in the semi-final against Colneis from Felixstowe! After drawing the game, this was then decided by a penalty shootout. Fortunately, luck was on our side, resulting in the boys going through to the final and winning 1-0 against Cedarwood! They have now progressed through to the County finals at Needham Market Football Club!
Well done for proudly representing HCPS, and for showing an outstanding attitude and resilience, particularly in the penalty shootout.
Under 11's Tag Rugby Festival

On Friday the 7th November 2025, HCPS took 24 children to participate in the Hadleigh High School Year 6 Tag Rugby festival at Hadleigh High School. Teams from Bildeston, St Mary’s, Beaumont, Whatfield and Hintlesham also took part. An excellent morning was had by all our pupils. Lots of tagging, running, dodging and scoring trys was on show by all.

Under 11's Multi-Skills Festival

On Friday 17th October, we took 20 pupils from Year 5 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 11’s Multi-Skills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning.
Well done to 2 of our pupils, who were in the winning team. The teams were mixed between all the local Pyramid Schools, and everyone received participation certificates. Thanks to Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 11's Girls Football

On Tuesday 14th October 2025, Hadleigh CPS entered a team in the Under 11’s Girls Football Festival at Whitton Sports Centre. There were a total of 9 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh played matches against Henley, Dale Hall, Heath, Sidegate, Britannia, Rushmere Hall, Bramford and The Oaks.
The girls put on a great display and a brilliant team performance throughout the afternoon, managing to win 5 matches, draw 2 and lose 1 match which was a great achievement, finishing 2nd overall. Well done Year 5 & 6 girls!
Under 11's Girls Football

On Thursday 9th October 2025, HCPS entered 1 team in the Under 11’s Girls Football Develop Festival at Whitton Sports Centre. There were a total of 18 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh had a mixed Year 5/6 team in, playing 5 matches against Castle Hill, Hillside, Stratford St. Mary's, Whitehouse and Gusford.
The team managed to win 1 and draw 4 games without conceding a goal! This was an amazing achievement by all the girls, demonstrating fantastic skills, respect, resilience and teamwork whilst thoroughly enjoying the event. Well done!
Under 9's Multiskills Festival

On Friday 3rd October, we took 19 pupils from Year 4 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 9’s Multiskills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 9 different events. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning.
Well done to 3 of our pupils, who were in the winning team. The teams were mixed between all the local Pyramid Schools, and everyone received participation certificates. Thanks to Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 11's Dodgeball

On Friday 19th September, HCPS entered 2 teams into the Pyramid Schools Dodgeball festival at Hadleigh High School.
Both teams played 5 matches each, versus Bildeston, Beaumont, St Mary's, Whatfield and each other!
Congratulations to all our Year 6 Dodgeball players with the HCPS White team winners and HCPS Navy team coming runners up, a fantastic achievement!
Much fun and laughter was had by all!
Under 11's Quadkids Festival

On Friday 6th June 2025, we took two Year 5 teams to compete in the Under 11’s Quadkids Festival at Hadleigh High School. There were 7 teams in total that took part. The other schools competing were: Elmsett (2 Teams), Bildeston, Whatfield, and Hintlesham.
Each participant took part in a 75 metre sprint, a 600 metre run, a standing long jump, a relay and a vortex throw. Every pupils’ score was recorded and calculated into points for that event. Once every pupil had competed in every event, all the scores were added together. After some excellent performances on the track and field, our Year 5 white team managed to finish 1st overall , and our blue team fourth. This was a fantastic achievement by them all!
A great event and one we look forward to taking part in next year. Well done Year 5!
Under 11's Netball Festival

On Thursday 22nd May 2025, Hadleigh took two teams to the Under 11’s Netball Festival at Ipswich School, Rushmere. One team played in the competitive competition, and one team played in the develop competition.
There were 7 schools that took part in the competitive competition in total. The other teams were: St. Johns (2 Teams), Whitehouse, Heath, Stratford St. Mary and Colneis - HCPS were proud to be runners up!
There were 8 schools that took part in the develop league. We played 7 matches, losing 1, drawing 1 and winning 5, this was a phenomenal achievement!
Over the course of the afternoon, both teams played in a 7 minute matches. This was a bee netball festival which meant after every game, the children would rotate positions on the court, meaning that everybody had the chance to play in defence, centre and in attack. Well done all, a fantastic effort!
Year 6 Rounders Tournament 2025

All Year 6 pupils took part in a competitive inter-year group rounders tournament each afternoon during SATS week. They were put into 6 teams, playing against each other once, with 2 innings. 289.5 rounders were scored by all the teams during the week! Much fun and laughter was had by all.
The overall winners were the ‘Green Goats’ wearing green bibs. Runners up were ‘Yellow Lemons’ wearing yellow bibs and third place were ‘Red Rubber Ducks’ in red bibs.
Well done to all Year 6 for such a fantastic tournament!
Under 7's Multiskills Festival

On Friday 16th May 2025, we took 22 pupils from Year 2 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 7’s Multiskills Festival at Hadleigh High School, with all of the local pyramid schools. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events.
Some of these activities included javelin throw, egg and spoon races, mini hurdles, hoop challenge, skittles, over & under, tennis ball tilt and football dribble. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning. Well done to all our Year 2 team, and Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 9's Dodgeball Finals

Congratulations to our Under 9’s Mixed Dodgeball team, who were the silver medallists out of the 12 competing schools in the County dodgeball finals, at Ipswich School Sports Centre on Friday 2nd May 2025.
We managed to win our group games against South Lee and Elmswell, sending us through into the knockout group against Dale Hall and Sidegate. From winning these games, we secured a place in the final against St. Johns, narrowly missing out on countback.
From this we were placed second overall! Much fun was had by all.

Under 9's Mini Tennis

On Friday 2nd May 2025, we entered 2 teams into the Under 9’s Tennis Festival at Hadleigh High School. There were 6 teams in total that took part. The other 3 schools competing were: Bildeston (2 teams), Whatfield, and St.Mary’s. Lots of matches were played during the morning. Each game lasted approximately 4 minutes. After some excellent on-court performances from all the players, our 2 teams managed to finish 1st and 4th overall. Well done Year 4, an excellent achievement!
Under 9's, 10's & 11's Cross Country
On Thursday 2nd April 2025, we took 48 boys & girls to compete in the Year 4, 5 & 6 Cross Country festival at Royal Hospital School.
There were around 150 pupils that took part in each of the 6 races. During the afternoon, all of our Year 4, 5 & 6 pupils had to run 2200m which was just over a mile long!
During the afternoon, we managed 2 First place, 1 Second place and 1 Third place, whom all received medals and hats!
Every pupil ran fantastically, with some outstanding results, something they should be proud of – Well done Years 4, 5 & 6, what an achievement!
