Under 11's Girls Cricket Festival

On Thursday 8th June 2023, Hadleigh competed in the Under 11’s Girls Cricket Festival at Ransomes Sports Ground, Ipswich. There were 6 schools that took part in total. The other 5 teams that took part were Dale Hall, St John's, Morland, Castle Hill and St Mary's Woodbridge.
During the morning, the girls batted brilliantly, which was followed up with accurate bowling and some tidy fielding. After an excellent display from the girls all morning, Hadleigh managed to win 1 match and lose 1 match. This meant they then had to play in a play-off for third-place, against Dale Hall. HCPS came out victorious! That victory meant that they finished third overall. Well done Year 6 girls!
Under 11's Boys Cricket Festival

On Wednesday 7th June 2023, Hadleigh competed in the Under 11’s Mixed Cricket Festival at Ransomes Sports Ground, Ipswich. There were 5 schools that took part in total. The other teams were: Shotley, Castle Hill, Dale Hall and East Bergholt. Over the course of the morning, the boys batted brilliantly, which was followed up with accurate bowling and some tidy fielding. After an excellent display from the boys all morning, Hadleigh managed to finish runners-up overall which was a fantastic achievement, putting us through to the County Finals - Well done Year 6 Boys!
Under 11's Netball Festival

On Thursday 25th May 2023, Hadleigh took a team to compete in the Under 11’s Netball Festival at Ipswich School, Rushmere. There were 6 schools that competed in total. The other teams were: East Bergholt, Gusford, Claydon, Bealings and Broke Hall. Over the course of the afternoon, we played each team, in a 12 minute match. This was a bee netball festival which meant after every 6 mins, the children would rotate positions on the court, meaning that everybody had the chance to play in defence, centre and in attack. Hadleigh managed to win 3 games and lose 2 games, resulting in them finishing 3rd overall. Well done all, a fantastic effort!
Under 11's Multi-Skills Festival

On Friday 19th May, we took over 20 pupils from Year 5 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 11’s Multi-Skills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 7 different events. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning.
Well done to 4 of our pupils, who were in the winning team. The teams were mixed between all the local Pyramid Schools, and everyone received participation certificates. Thanks to Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Year 6 Rounders Tournament 2023


All Year 6 pupils took part in a competitive rounders tournament each afternoon during SATS week. They were put into 6 teams, playing against each other once, with 2 innings. 317 rounders were scored by all the teams during the week! Much fun and laughter was had by all.
The overall winners were the Quangle Dangles wearing blue bibs. Well done to all Year 6 for such a fantastic tournament!
Under 9's Dodgeball Tournament

Congratulations to our Under 9's Mixed Dodgeball team, who are the County Champions! They went undefeated all afternoon at South Lee School, Bury St. Edmunds tournament on Tuesday 25th April 2023. Facing Sebert Wood, Great Welnetham and Nayland on their way to the final against St. Joseph's Sudbury. Much fun was had by all.

Under 10 & 11's Cross Country

On Wednesday 29th March 2023, we took 24 runners to compete in the Year 5 & 6 Cross Country festival at Royal Hospital School.
There were around 100 pupils that took part in each of the 4 races. During the afternoon, all of our Year 5 & 6 pupils had to run 2200m which was just over a mile long!

Under 11's Tag Rugby

On Friday 24th March 2023, HCPS entered a Year 5/6 girls tag rugby team into the Northampton Saints Festival, held at Ipswich Rugby Club. The girls took part in many small sided games against schools from the Ipswich area.
Throughout the morning, the girls continued to develop their throwing and catching skills, whilst showing excellent technique in tagging. Many tries were scored by the team, much fun was had by all - thank you to Northampton Saints for organising!
Under 11's Dodgeball Festival

On Tuesday 14th March 2023, we entered a team into the Under 11’s Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. There were a total of 16 teams that had entered this event. Hadleigh managed to win all their group games, against Britannia, Cedarwood, Ravenswood, Hinlesham & Eyke.
All children received certificates for their hard work, much dodging, throwing, aiming and fun was had by all, well done!
Under 9's Girls Football Festival

On Wednesday 8th March 2022, HCPS entered two Year 3/4 teams into the Under 9’s Girls Football Festival at ITFC. There were over 24 teams that took part in the event.
Our teams played 8 games each, 4v4, with no Goalkeepers on a very cold day. Lots of goals were scored by the girls! Both teams played brilliantly throughout the afternoon considering the weather and had a great time! This was a fantastic effort from both teams!

Under 9's Dodgeball Festival

On Thursday 23rd February 2023, we entered a team into the Under 9’s Dodgeball Festival at Inspire Suffolk. There were a total of 12 teams that had entered this event. Hadleigh managed to win all their group games, against Gusford, Morland, Woodbridge, Clifford Road and St Mary's Woodbridge.
This took HCPS through to the final against Colneis, Felixstowe. We won the game 2-0! As a result of this they have progressed through to the County Dodgeball finals in Bury St. Edmunds during April.
Much dodging, throwing, aiming and fun was had by all, well done!
Under 7's Multiskills Festival

On Friday 3rd February 2023, we took over 26 pupils from Year 2 to participate in the Hadleigh Pyramid Schools Under 7’s Multiskills Festival at Hadleigh High School. Within this festival, the children took part in 8 different events. Some of these activities included javelin throw, space hopper slalom, hurdles and bean bag throw. All the children had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed their morning. Well done to all our Year 2 team, and Hadleigh High School for arranging this fantastic event!
Under 11's Suffolk County Sportshall Athletics Finals

After winning the Ipswich and South Suffolk Sportshall Athletics in November 2022, Hadleigh CPS went through to the county finals at Newmarket Leisure Centre on Friday 3rd February 2023. The top 8 schools from the County competed in this event.
During the morning, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.
After all the enjoyable events had finished, the results were announced. HCPS were third in the County, receiving bronze medals! Congratulations to all the children involved, on what was an amazing journey. Well done!
Under 11's Basketball Festival

On Tuesday 31st January 2023, Hadleigh CPS competed in the Under 11’s Mixed Basketball Festival at Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich. There were a total of 10 schools that took part in the event. Hadleigh played matches against Bildeston, Gusford, Ranelagh and Copdock. The boys and girls were excellent all morning resulting in 4 wins. They scored over 100 points in baskets! The standard of basketball was extremely high. All pupils had a fantastic morning, well done!
Under 11's Mixed Sportshall Athletics

On Friday 20th January 2023, we entered a Year 5 boys & girls indoor Sportshall athletics teams into the Hadleigh High School Pyramid event.
During the morning, each boy and girl took part in 2 track and 2 field events. These events ranged from relays, obstacle races, throwing events and jumping events.
After all the enjoyable events had finished, the results were announced. HCPS were the overall winners! Congratulations to all the children involved.
